Andrew Holter is a researcher and writer, and a PhD candidate at Northwestern University, where he studies the history of photography and surveillance.
His writing on history, music, photography, food, and other topics has appeared in the Los Angeles Review of Books, Lapham’s Quarterly, The Paris Review Daily, The Quietus, and Baltimore City Paper. Andrew collaborated with the filmmaker Theo Anthony on the award-winning, PBS-syndicated documentary RAT FILM, which Errol Morris praised for its “impeccable archival material,” and which Paste Magazine included ask one of the 30 best documentaries of the 2010s.
